Kat Phoenix Carlsen

Sonic Storyteller | Experimental Artist

I am a multi-disciplinary artist exploring the cross connections between sound, visual art, and inner experience.

My background is in electronic music composition and I primarily work as a music composer and songwriter. I also produce photographic works, which began as a hobby that transitioned into a practice. Additionally, I have been exploring music as a tool for healing through sonic meditations and sound baths.

After a few years in New York City, and a brief chapter in Beijing, I have relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana for a change of scenery.

My current project is an exploration of the acoustic world of pop-folk songwriting, inspired by classic folk and country music.
